ATL is committed to provide all possible support to member laboratories in achieving quality of the testing services provided through various programmes.

The Proficiency Testing (PT) services :

 

The Proficiency Testing (PT) services of Association of Testing Laboratories (ATL - PT) has been accredited in conformity to the requirements of the International Standard for General Requirements for Proficiency Testing ISO 17043:2010 by the Sri Lanka Accreditation Board (SLAB) for the following scope.

  • Chemical analysis of Black Tea for parameters specified in ISO Standard for Black Tea - Definitions and requirements ISO 3720:2011 and determination of caffeine content
  • Chemical analysis of Green Tea for parameters specified in ISO Standard for Green Tea -Definitions and Basic requirements ISO 11287:2011

ISO 17025 Quality Management System

  A full day customized programme for the laboratory staff of Fonterra Brands (Pvt) Limited  was organized by ATL on a special request made by the Quality Assurance Manager of the Group. The training programme was followed by an evaluation.

 


 

Library Services:

 

The ATL has established a library for the students following the Private Sector Medical Laboratory Technologists Training programme at the ATL office. The library has text books, CDs and other literature on the subjects that are covered in the programme. The students of this programme can borrow books and other literature available and also access the Internet facilities.
